Local Government Meetings

The need for action is not just national. The Indivisible Guide (Chapter 4) calls for local government participation to slow the advance of autocracy and keep each other safe. It specifically calls out school boards, but other local governments also conduct recurring, open board meetings with time for public testimony.

Here’s an in-progress list of such meetings with their typical recurrences, to help you plan your week’s or month’s actions. Before attending, follow a meeting’s link for dates, times, locations and online options. These can change quickly, especially in response to bad weather or emergencies. You’ll also find minutes, agendas, recordings and other details.

You can watch many of these meetings on CVTV (Clark Vancouver Television). It’s one way to learn context before you attend.
